Whose holding who?

Jn 10

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.  I and the Father are one.”

“It is not your hold of Christ that saves, but his hold of you!” – C.H. Spurgeon

  1. Great post! Blessings!

  2. Susan Shanks says:

Count me in on the “I loved this post”, too!
Thank God, it’s not up to me to hold on.
Only He is capable of that – to me Christmas means
God’s miraculous Baby came to grow up to be a Redeemer-man.
I need a Redeemer…I need Christmas. Oh, how
I thank God for sending Jesus!

  3. danny says:

Was talking to a brother last night at a Christmas party and intimated this same idea. He was waxing eloquent about how he made Christ his own. I got a little tired of hearing it(it’s an ongoing conversation). I told him there was no way I ever would have “picked” Jesus or Christianity. Christianinty jerked me alive and continues to change my “oughtas into wannas”.
